Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Transfer Scholarship
The Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Transfer Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving incoming non-resident transfer students.
Award for Incoming Transfer Students - Fall 2013

The Anthony Wayne Transfer Scholarship is $9,000 per year for two consecutive years, for a total of $18,000.

Free on-campus double occupancy room for up to two years.
Eligibility Criteria & Requirements
You may be awarded this scholarship based on your undergraduate application materials. A separate scholarship application is not needed.
Award Requirements
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

Be admitted to WSU, with all necessary official documents received, by May 1, 2013.

Currently be enrolled at a U.S.. community college outside of Michigan and the Good Neighbor Policy area.

Qualify for out-of-state tuition rates. If you qualify for resident tuition rates you are not eligible for the Anthony Wayne Out-of-State Scholarship.

Have a minimum of 36 transferable credit hours

Have a community college combined minimum GPA at the time of admission of 3.30.
Credits can be earned at one or more community colleges, but the combined community college GPA must meet requirements.

You must be a citizen of the United States or have permanent resident status.

If you are offered this scholarship, you must accept by May 1, 2013.
To Maintain your Award
You must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours for fall and winter semesters, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00.
Full-time enrollment is 12 credit hours or more.
If you earn a bachelor's degree in less than two years, your scholarship terminates at that time.
Honors College Membership
Although you may be offered Honors College membership, this is not a requirement to receive an award.
Wayne State University offers and renews scholarships at its sole and absolute discretion; offers and renewals are contingent upon available funding and the continuation of the scholarship program. WSU students can receive only one Presidential Program scholarship. These include the University, Presidential, Gold, Green, Anthony Wayne and the WSU/DSO scholarships. Students who have completed a bachelor's degree are not eligible for Presidential Program scholarships. Changes to a student's financial, housing or academic situation may result in adjustments to awards.
